Gun Suspect Nabbed At Pct.

When Police Officer Sean Wongsing of the 69th Precinct descended the front steps of the Foster Avenue station house last Thursday at 10:20 p.m. the last thing he expected to see was a civilian with a gun. However, there was a man, later identified as Dhrmaine Coleman, 33, standing between two parked cars and taking a gun from under his coat.

When Coleman spied the police officer, he aimed the weapon at him, according to Wongsing, but the cop pulled out his weapon and told the suspect to drop the gun and put his hands in the air, which he did.

Wongsing then took Coleman into custody, after recovering a loaded 9 mm handgun from him. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, then taken to Kings County Hospital for psychological

evaluation. Charles Rogers
